I am kind of embarrassed that I literally carry around five devices at the moment:
- Droid is my main phone.
- Torch blackberry for work.
- Iphone 3G which I’m using as an Itouch.
- 80G Ipod with well over 10,000 songs.
- Fancy Nikon digital camera.
I don’t see how I can really consolidate these things in the near future, and because no one but the Ipad really seems to give a rat’s ass about increasing battery life, I don’t know if I would want one device to carry that burden. Plus, if my data was not synched or lost on all of them, I’d be lost if one device was truly stolen.
Well I’m a nerd on a budget lol
I have my Ipad (gift from Frankie)
my cell phone
my Verizon MiFi for the Ipad
My Ipod 4g full
my laptop with 12000+ songs on it
my Canon A720 the only digital camera I have seen cost 3 times it’s original price 2 years later…
I have not backed this up recently but it’s on the to do list because I too would be CRUSHED if I lost it all at once. So it’s all on separate things that could be lost but not all at once!
Check out a website called dropbox.com. It’s a free storage site that puts pre-programmed folders on every device you install it onto. Any time a file is put inside one of these folders, it’s uploaded to the main website and synced with every device it’s connected to. You can use it to sync multiple items you own (as long as they’re internet-capable) or you can use them to link multiple computers together to create instant file-sharing with your friends. Give it a thought. There are downloadable apps for any and all devices (iphone, ipad, blackberry, etc).
