This time it was a belated 80th birthday celebration for my wonderful friend and neighbor Larry. Larry and Carol have been so wonderful to me since the fire. It feels like home when I’m in their house, which is the same layout as mine.
We had another opportunity to celebrate the double nickel birthday of my sweet fellow Vallejoan, Noel. We had a wonderful dinner and stroll at Manny’s Steakhouse on the Napa River waterfront in downtown Vallejo. I love the memories we’re creating as we share life with friends who have each other’s backs.
Happy double nickel birthday to my dear friend Noel McNulty. He’s such a nice guy, they named the xmas holiday after him!
Teena Miller’s amazing fundraising birthday party was for the charity Food is Free Bay Area. What a nice way to raise money to benefit the community, as Teena and JD always do! It was nice to be among many friendly faces here in Vallejo while we celebrated at the Solano County Fairground’s McCormack Hall.

Noel and Mark were kind enough to throw us a belated brunch for our birthdays, so we enjoyed ourselves in their amazing backyard.
Mark made a quiche and pastries and we had coffee and yellow beet with feta. We brought some bubbly and a fruit salad with granola and yogurt.

Had a wonderful birthday party and was very pleased with the folks who showed up on a work night (Tuesday). There was even live music and singing courtesy of Brian and Andres! Not pictured are Desiree Allyn and her son Cliff, who left before I remembered to break out the camera.
Chef Shea stayed up late the night before and worked all day to prepare a lot of this from scratch, which was staged in the extra garage fridge:

But this one came specially ordered from an artist in Portugal. Marine motif mini-cabinet was something I thrifted separately, but what a juxtaposition, right?
