Shea still was under the weather, but I attended a great VGN potluck at Lou’s house again. The turnout was incredible despite the brisk weather, but we’re still very lucky to have this incredible climate with many hints of Spring in the air already (seriously). There are lots of trees in full bloom. No polar vortex here!
Thanks to the fabulous Mark Kliem for hosting! After being deputized as the official photographer of the VGN holiday party, here are the results! Seeing people from various Bay Area counties like San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, Contra Costa and other parts of Solano County like Vacaville and Fairfield was wonderful. Our Vallejo Gay Network community and its allies have been a wonderful focal point for me since making the wise decision to move here.

Halloween costumes! Who was the genius who came up with this idea? Imagine a small tuft of hair at the top of my pointed yellow head. In hindsight, Shea should have had a rubber ducky. I couldn’t convince him to put on a red muppet nose (it would mess up his products I suspect), so I decided to forego an orange one.

Bonnie and Snoopy were a hit at the pool. Bonnie, who generally does well in crowds anyway, as opposed to onesy-twosies, was well-behaved, thanks to some dog training we’ve had. She barely growled at anyone and I think she’s a big faker, because for the tiniest of treats, she loves to be petted. She let at least a half dozen people she never met pet her, to my shock, because each time I thought she’d smell them and back away to “protect” me. Perhaps we’ve made some real breakthroughs! Snoopy was so popular he was barely on the ground since he was being held so much. There were also two other small dogs there, Jordi and Toby.

Pride Night at the Vallejo Museum last weekend after a very long ride back to Vallejo from Palm Springs.
This evening I made it back from Sacramento in time to participate once again in the Pride Proclamation at Vallejo City Council Meeting. It was a nice crowd and I was very pleased to be among the wonderful community that awaited me when I moved here almost four years ago.
Went to two Cinco de Mayo parties yesterday only a few blocks from each other. Here are some pictures from one of them. I was too much of a chatty Cathy to take them at one party.
