March House and Garden Updates
Gazebo and Outer Side Yard Fence Builds
The cemented side yard is now ready for some major upgrades, including the fence and the amazing gazebo that will cover the forthcoming hot tub and more! My friend Hugh Harrell is a great handyman. He assembled the entire gazebo with very little assistance from us. You rock Hugh!
We also had the makeshift privacy fence that we put up with fake grass as soon as we moved in converted into a wood fence that matches our perimeter fence. We kept the full functionality of the gate too. It looks so great with the gazebo and so the entire side yard feels much more functional, private, and consistent.
Virtual Tour – The After
Since we couldn’t have a traditional housewarming, this is what Covid will allow us to do for now.
Virtual Tour Vallejo House
Some of the pictures are from the real estate listing so the interior does not reflect how we will be setting this house up. After we move in we’ll take another virtual tour, of course, but the seller’s exquisite taste was definitely a selling point for this 1987 house that is in excellent condition.
It’s a corner unit and is one floor, although there are steps in the backyard that lead up to a lookout area. Just down the hill is the Glen Cove Waterfront Park with multiple bridge, mountain and water views that make for incredible sunsets.

Mom’s house fire April 2016
After the fire:
A Rose is….
A rose that fell off the damn bush in the front yard when I tried to take a picture of it in a better light! One of the pictures is in the vase after it fell off, smelling wonderfully inside. The one picture looks like it has been manipulated but on the white column in front of my house, there’s a shadow of a branch.
