Videos of Bonnie’s first time at Dan Foley Park and Lake Chabot for a kayak ride. I’ll forgive her for falling asleep. I guess the rocking was soothing to her. Snoopy’s a veteran and jumped up on the kayak when I got in.

Some excitement included a fellow rower dropping her phone in the water and a certified diver fellow rower jumped in to try to dig for it! The photo doesn’t capture enough, but it’s worth the memory!
We also did a towing exercise where we towed each other’s whale boats. It’s more complicated than one might think!
Despite the heavy fog this morning and the overcast that lingered most of the day, our second row today yielded some actual sun, so it was really worth pulling out the camera.
I took my doting friends, Alex and John, kayaking. It was the first time for them (and their dog Panda). They didn’t quite make it down to see the giraffes, but I’m glad they were adventurous enough to join me this time. I’m grateful dear friend Lisa Gutierrez-Wilson encouraged me to get out and take a break from all the paperwork and daunting tasks ahead as I rebuild. It was a welcome break and Snoopy was a trooper.
