Another amazing party hosted by Manny and Wendell on Mare Island! So many cool people not pictured here, but it was a wonderful crowd.
Had a wonderful birthday party and was very pleased with the folks who showed up on a work night (Tuesday). There was even live music and singing courtesy of Brian and Andres! Not pictured are Desiree Allyn and her son Cliff, who left before I remembered to break out the camera.
Chef Shea stayed up late the night before and worked all day to prepare a lot of this from scratch, which was staged in the extra garage fridge:
Shea made wonderful omelets to start the day. We ended up having Thai food for dinner in downtown Vallejo, and then made our way to San Francisco. We stopped by Greg and Steve’s pied-à-terre in the Castro, then walked over to the Pilsner for a drink, where we met a guy who was also celebrating his birthday. He even bought us a round and had some cake to share with us! Afterward, Shea and I went to Bearracuda, which I had not been to in many years. This is in addition to my other posting here where Greg, Steve, Shea, and I took pictures under the rainbow laser lights.
Pride Night at the Vallejo Museum last weekend after a very long ride back to Vallejo from Palm Springs.
Lots of pool time and a wonderful, relaxing, and intellectually stimulating Memorial Day Weekend. Greg is our woofy pool boy and co-pool owner with his husband Steve, dear friends of many years, and relatively new neighbors. The dogs always tag along, which is a wonderful way to spend the day. They are getting used to being poolside and enjoying another backyard while we get some serious time in the pool relaxing with great food and friends. Let the summer begin!
Good friends Greg and Steve made a fabulous Greek Easter party for a number of friends and even opened up their (heated) pool. About four dogs were also in attendance even though I was nervous about Bonnie being close to the pool with her vision impairment/blindness. She had been to their house before and all was fine.
Went to two Cinco de Mayo parties yesterday only a few blocks from each other. Here are some pictures from one of them. I was too much of a chatty Cathy to take them at one party.
Monty and Frankie hosted since I was not able to this March due to the fire. They have an amazing house with a super-comfortable couch and it was Saint Patrick’s Day themed.
July 2024 Update: Shea is in the video and a few of the pictures! 🙂
