Thanksgiving 2022
Our wonderful friends Noel and Mark invited us back for a Thanksgiving with friends right here in Vallejo. We had the privilege of spending Easter with them this year as well.
Kayla Ambrose and William Larsen Jr. Wedding
Kayla is my god-niece. Her grandmother Carla was my godmother and her dad is my god-brother. Here is a picture of me with my two god-brothers. We have not been in the same place in at least 38 years (since my god-brother Joe’s wedding in the Summer of 1984).
Halloween Party in Vallejo
The Brengenzers threw a wonderful Halloween Party with DJ and all. Shando went as Lt. Dangle from Reno 911. Can you guess what my costume is? I thought of the enhancement to my pirate costume at the last minute, but I realized it was off-color and it did actually offend a few people, but isn’t that the point of Halloween? Brownie points to those who figure it out!

Hosting a Vallejo Gay Network Potluck
This is the second year in a row we had the honor of hosting a potluck for the Vallejo Gay Network. We love opening our home to such events.
The theme this year was “Disco 70’s” so you’ll notice some wardrobe choices that go with that.
Vallejo Gay Network Potluck Second September
This is our second September hosting a VGN Potluck, although our plan is to do so in March 2023. It just so happened that month had worked out for us. We’re getting better at hosting and we think that the outdoor encouragement works better for the traffic. It was a great time and we had some dignitaries attend as well.
Return to Dining with East Bay Bears
After almost two years of Covid and moving to Vallejo, we finally made it back to see our friends with the East Bay Bears, who we try to Zoom with every week. It was so great to be back (and not be required to wear a mask). We always get a room to ourselves and it’s rich food and fine people that I missed indulging with.
Lazybear 2022
Yearly we travel to Guerneville to take part in Lazybear Week. The Russian River area is an amazing part of California that we just adore.
VGN Potluck at Shelee and Kathi’s House
Our neighbors Shelee and Kathi have an awesome house with great views from unincorporated Vallejo. They hosted the potluck on May 14. I went back for John Fox’s re-election campaign kickoff a few weeks later on June 4 and remembered to take pictures of their fabulous back garden as well.
